Work for just 1$ per hour!
Some people online think that that’s a great offer for designers, it’s a sad truth, but the saddest thing is that some designers fall for it, perpetuating buyers and clients behaviour.
Many people looking for people to hire on the internet are draw to sites like Rentacoder.com because of an extremely crazy promise: people there are willing to work for 1Dollar per hour. Have you ever heard that crazy and extreme promises draw people to buy things?, for example: buy this product and get that slim muscular body you always wanted, without any effort!, well, people who want a design for their business also go to those site because they hear that they can get work valued in 1000$ for just 1$.
The mentality in his people is: we are not hurtin anybody, THEY are willing to work for 1$, we are just giving them what they want, they are happy and we are happy. Whose fault is it then?… designers, for beign so desperate to accept under paid jobs.
This will stop only when designers understand that they get paid so low only because they accept it.
