My new upcoming Game Project

Last week I started probramming my upcoming game, for now it is called "Project Adventure", it's an adventure game inspired in Civilization 4 exploration mini-game and Princess Maker character development and story mechanics. I plan to have many characters in it, and various story arcs, like in the Princess maker games, and make the relationship between characters affect the game story. In Princess Maker you tried to be someone (or rather make someone) and even get married, in my game, there will be something similar, but different, the concept is the same, but the mechanics will change greatly. Are video games Art?

It was just a matter of time until I gave my personal opinion on this subject. Some thoughts about my next game…

I'm thinking about what my next game will be about, I'm not sure exactly how the game will be yet, but I want to make something that somehow makes the player experience being loved by someone, not just the love from a pet, or the love from a friend, but a bigger form of love, and since there are many ways to show love I want to focus on a particular aspect of love: Self sacrifice. Why make game about self-sacrifice and love?. Most games of today are too shallow, focusing on things like finding objects, or simply matching colors, for… Continue reading
